¿ESTAMOS SOLOS...?

Hola amig@s,

Antes de nada, daros las gracias por visitar mi blog, dedicado a la astronomía, desde el cual quiero que tod@s vayamos conociendo, un poco el cielo y todo lo que esconde. En la medida de lo que yo pueda y dentro de mis conocimientos, espero que os guste.

¿Hay vida extraterrestre ?

¿Estamos solos en el universo?

Estas son algunas de las preguntas más frecuentes que me hacen, tanto en la calle como en los eventos de observación astronómicos que realizo durante el año.

Estas preguntas también me las he hecho yo desde que tengo uso de razón, digo desde que tengo uso de razón, porque desde entonces me siento atraído por el cielo nocturno. La noche era para mí y lo sigue siendo una mezcla de romanticismo y de misterio que me envuelve en su infinito manto.

A partir de los 16 o 17 años mi curiosidad fue creciendo, y mi padre el "culpable" de todo esto, compro unos prismáticos (culpable porque desde que yo era un chiquillo lo recuerdo siempre mirando al cielo cada noche y yo me acercaba a él para saber que era aquello que miraba con tanta atención), y así poder ver los objetos celestes un poco más de cerca, incluida la luna !la luna, que sorpresa más grande!, que maravillosa visión para ambos, inolvidable, todavía permanece en mi retina ese recuerdo. Desde entonces yo quería llegar un poco más lejos y tener un telescopio para poder observar los misterios del firmamento, un poco más cerca todavía, pero los tiempos que corrían por aquel entonces y luego por otras circunstancias eran un tanto difícil poder hacerme con uno.

Ahora disfruto de uno desde hace poco más de una década, así comencé por fin, con la ayuda del mismo y de algunos libros, a dedicarme a lo que más me gusta en mis pocos momentos libres.

Volviendo a las preguntas iniciales, después de leer sobre el firmamento y observarlo, he llegado a la conclusión de que nuestro planeta no puede ser el único y afortunado en albergar vida en nuestra galaxia y mucho menos en todo el universo. Tenemos que darnos cuenta de que cada vez que dirigimos la vista al cielo en una noche cualquiera veremos que está plagada de puntos luminosos, y cada uno de ellos corresponde a una estrella o sea, un sol, y eso a simple vista, si miramos a través de unos prismáticos normales o por medio de un telescopio veremos muchos más.

A simple vista solo podemos ver las estrellas más luminosas, siempre dependiendo de la zona, contaminación lumínica y de nuestra vista, veremos entre 200 y 4.000 estrellas.

Sabiendo esto creo que por nuestra parte deberíamos ser un poco más realistas y darnos cuenta de que la vida es posible en otros planetas del universo sin la necesidad de tener que verlo para creerlo, yo creo firmemente que sí, que tiene que haber vida en otros lugares del firmamento.
